Photography Competition |
|
Me and Jamie have just been discussing having a monthly photography competition. There will be a theme for each month, so May will be "Flowers" and June "Birds" ect... We'd like to eventually make it into a big thing with a prize at the end of it, but for now we're thinking of just setting it up for a bit of fun for the current memembers. What do you guys think of this? Anyone willing to give it a go?

I think that's a very good idea!

Yes, I'd do it! |

Hi All
I enjoy another photo competition similar to this, I'm wondering if Jamie is the same Jamie on the wildlife forums, I like entering the competition each month but the only thing that worries me slightly is that from a new member's point of view, it does seem a bit cliquey, is there any way we can avoid this? I think you should also be clear on what we should be voting on, quality and skill of photograpy and/or artistic content?
Just a few thoughts, but well up for it!

I agree, and that was my piont really, the other problem is that we all have our own views on what we think is good or not - artistically that is, I failed my A level art purely becasue the person 'judging' my peice obviously didn't 'get it'. I didn't mean to put a downer on the photo comp idea, I think we should go for it!
