I'm after a decent Macro lens.

Seen some cracking shots from a guy on another site done with a Sigma 105 macro and I'm impressed, however, I'm a Canon man and not sure whether to get the Canon at a much dearer price or go for the Sigma 105 - any idea's anyone ?

Your help is much appreciated.

Yogi.

It all depens on the amount you want to pay for the actual product. If you save up the pennies, you could treat yourself to a new camera and a new lens, but, I personally, would go with the New camera

Save up a bit, invest in a few decent lenses and think about moving onto a macro, once you have all your basic lenses sorted out, i.e 70mm-300mm etc

The sigma macro lenses have a good quality so you'll not be getting much difference if you fork out more cash for a Canon lens.

What are you planning on photographing?
