I've got;
Canon EOS 350D,
18-55mm
28-105mm
70-300mm
170-500mm
2x converter
Canon 430EX flashgun
And various other accessories like CF cards, lens hoods and bean bags.
Wish I had a less expensive hobby.

Erm..
Been doing photography for 4 years.
Had a canon 300V film SLR after a year with a kit lens, which is the 28-105mm.
A year later I upgraded to the 350D with the 18-55mm kit lens. Got the 70-300mm to help with some wildlife shots a couple of months after. Then about a month later I got the 2x converter to increase the focal length. And then last Christmas I got the 170-500mm so I could get up to 1000mm for wildlife (which still isn't enough some times!). And about a month ago I bought the flashgun.
So it's just been upgrades over the years.
And I'm considering getting a 50mm lens, so watch this space!

A 50mm Macro? If not, why would you need a 50mm if you have got the default 18-55mm kit?

Either.
I'm thinking about the standard one because hopefully it'll help me look at composition more and use my legs as the zoom.
And the macro too because, well.. It's a macro.
The 70-300mm's got a macro switch, but I don't think it makes much of a difference.

My camera has got a built in 28-300mm lens, which has a 2x Digital Zoom, and SuperMacro mode, which means I can focus at things which are 1cm close to the lens! Awesome eh?

I have a Nikon D60 with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR.
Whatever that means.
Before that I had a Kodak EasyShare C340 Digital Camera, which is what I used to take the Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | picture.

The 18-55mm is the magnification Jack, the higer the 'mm' the more you can zoom into your subject (you probably knew that )
The AF means Auto-focus function, Nikkor is the lens mount, which tells you the different DSLR camera's the lens will fit on.

In my opinion, most lenses are overpriced. Don't buy a Nikon lens for your camera, by other brands such as Tamron and Sigma, they should fit your camera, and they are considerably cheaper

Yes Auto-Focus is an EXTREMELY handy feature. I would reccommend buying a silent AF motor, incase you are out Photographing Wildlife, the sound of the AF won't scare them away!
