Not sure if this is posted in the right place but still getting use to the forum. Within a year or so I am looking to open a portrait studio. I will also be shooting wedding as I live in the Great Smoky Mountains and as everyone knows its a wedding capitol lol. anyway my question is What camera would be the best for these things? I know everyone has an opinion and this has been asked more then once but here are my choices.
Nikon D200 or D300
Canon 40D or 50D

I know they are all great cameras and was really leaning toward the Nikon D300 but with all the awesome photography on here been shot with the canons I am wondering LOL

Whilst I'll be the first to admit I don't have a clue but I don't think there is a 'right' or a 'wrong' body for weddings.

If you ask other professional wedding photographers I'm sure you'll get a divide between Nikon and Canon as it's opinion and general preference.



However, whilst the body isn't so important the lenses are so you'll need to invest in some good quality glass so make sure you like which body brand you choose as it could be expensive to swap with all of the lenses.
